Message From Dr Anyama. After O- Level, I Still Choose SMACOL For A-Level Academic Excellence!
I’m Dr Anyama Alfred Berliner, currently serving my medical internship at Mukono church of Uganda Hospital. To the brilliant minds completing O-level at St. Mary’s college Lugazi, First of all, congratulations on reaching this milestone. I walked the same halls you walk today, and I know the discipline, determination and spirit it takes to excel in this environment.
I’m proud to say that my journey in science and leadership from excelling in BCM at SMACOL, to joining Gulu University on a government scholarship, to becoming the Guild president of the University – all began right there at St. Mary’s college Lugazi.
I often see a trend among younger students who choose to leave SMACOL after O-level, thinking a new environment will offer something better. Sadly, many of them do not perform as well at A-level as they would have performed if they had stayed. Why? Because they underestimate the power of continuity, mentorship, and a system that already knows and supports them
That’s why I strongly encourage you to come back to SMACOL for A-level because over the years, those who stay consistently perform better, grow stronger, and go on to achieve far more than they imagined. SMACOL is more than just a school. It’s a system that works.
